You may participate in this promotion if your establishment meets the following criteria.
- Location: Must be a school, college or academy located in Scotland, England, Wales, Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland.
- Promotion period: Runs 3rd May 2022 (00:01 GMT) to 31st March 2027 (23:59 GMT).
- Claim window: All claims must be submitted within 30 days from the date of your invoice.
- Trade-in window: Trade-in devices must be collected within 60 days of your claim being approved.
- Volume limits: Up to 250 devices per school, or up to 1,000 devices per Multi Academy Trust, throughout the promotional period.
Trade-in criteria
To ensure a smooth and hassle-free trade-in, please ensure your devices meet the required criteria below.
Qualifying equipment
Standard trade-in devices – laptops, desktops, tablets, servers, networking switches and projectors – qualify for cashback on a one-for-one basis. Some device types require higher trade-in volumes to earn full cashback: monitors require 5 trade-ins for the equivalent of 1 hardware product, while interactive whiteboards and large MFP printers qualify for one-for-one cashback only when included in a combined trade-in of 10 or more eligible devices.
Device condition
Any device sent must be no more than 8 years old and in full working order. If the device is a laptop, it must be sent with its charging cable, battery and any other accessories needed to power it on. Thin clients and password protected or BIOS locked units do not qualify for the promotion.
Sending your trade-in units
Once we’ve reviewed and approved your claim form, we’ll send you full instructions on how to send your old devices to us. Your trade-in devices must reach us within 60 days of approval.
- Up to 9 devices: We’ll provide a pre-paid postage label so you can send your items free of charge. You’ll need to wipe all data and box the devices ready for shipping.
- 10 or more devices: We’ll arrange a free collection service and provide all necessary instructions. There’s no need to box the devices, and we’ll handle data wiping using industry-leading software.
- Compliance: All devices we receive are recycled safely and in full compliance with UK regulations, using WEEE compliant processes and NCSC-certified data erasure software.

What is the promotion period?

How do I participate in Lenovo ConnectEd?
To participate, you must purchase a qualifying product from a participating partner within the promotional period and submit your claim within 30 days from the date of your invoice.
Can I participate in Lenovo ConnectEd?
To participate, you must be a school, college or academy located in Scotland, England, Wales, Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland.
What is the reward value?
Depending on the SKU(s) purchased, the reward value will be between £50 and £150 per device traded in, subject to a maximum of 250 units per school or 1,000 units per Multi Academy Trust.
What devices can I trade in?
Eligible trade-in devices include laptops, desktops, tablets, servers, networking switches, large AV equipment (panels, interactive whiteboards), small AV equipment (projectors), or large multi-format printers, provided they are complete, in full working order and no more than 8 years old.
What is the maximum number of devices that can be traded in?
Up to 250 devices maximum can be traded in throughout the promotional period. Multi Academy Trusts have a maximum of 1,000 units throughout the promotional period.
How will the devices be collected?
Trade-in volumes of 10 units or more will be collected via a dedicated recycling service arranged directly with the school. Volumes below 10 units will receive a pre-paid postage label to return devices to the recycling company.
How long will it take for us to receive payment?
Rewards are paid via secure NatWest Payit link within 21 working days of your trade-in goods being approved. Once you've submitted your payment details, payment is typically received within 2–3 working days.
Does my reward include VAT?
Yes, your reward value is inclusive of 20% VAT. VAT remittance documentation is available on request by contacting our support team with your claim number.
Can resellers raise claims on behalf of their customers?
Yes, with the customer's permission. The Reseller Sales Team Member must be registered in the Lenovo ConnectEd system.
